We're Going Back to 12 Shirts/Year

Good morning all,

This is going out in place of the normal new shirt notice you’d get every two weeks. We’re switching back to a month-long sales cycle – 12 shirts per year. We’ve been on a two-week cycle and it was working out alright, but I think we can deliver better design quality consistency and do better customer service this way. (Which, by the way, are the two things this project has always been about: customer experience and kick ass design.)

You don’t have to do anything, but you will be getting less new shirt notices. We’ll keep delivering quality limited edition handmade goods with one-on-one customer service.

Thanks for everyone’s support. We’ll be back with a new design in a few weeks.

Sincerely,

Wade Meredith

Ben Chlapek - Worthless

Ben Chlapek was the first designer we featured here at 200Nipples. I personally love his design asthetic and he’s done a lot of killer poster work in his short design career so far. He currently has a write up in Present Magazine, a Kansas City specific rag “presenting the best of Kansas City.” You can find the article . You can catch up with ben at NeverSleeping.com.

New T-Shirt: "Tea-Shirt"

Tea-Shirt - Limited Edition T-Shirt by Kelvin Mason

Tea-Shirt - Limited Edition T-Shirt by Kelvin Mason

We’re pleased to have our next shirt designed by Kelvin Mason of SubtopiaStudios.com. (Check out his “Spaceman” exhibition it’s absolutely badass.)

Kelvin Mason is an artist/designer/professor who lives in the Chicago suburbs. He studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and worked designing t-shirts for a local company before venturing out on his own to found the short-lived company Black Current T-shirt Design. Going back to school, he studied printmaking at University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and then printmaking and digital art The University of Arizona in Tucson. Since that time, he has worked for several multimedia companies and then took a job teaching at West Virginia Wesleyan College where he eventually became Chair of the Department of Art. Recently he relocated to Chicago where he now teaches interactive media studies and printmaking at North Central College and holds the position of Associate Professor of Art. Most of his spare time is now devoted to designing video games. He has no cats.

He’s got talent to spare and when he contacted us with his “Tea-Shirt” design, I jumped at the chance.

New T-Shirt: Diamond Chasers

Diamond Chasers - Limited Edition T-Shirt from 200nipples

Our next t-shirt for sale is “Diamond Chasers” by Diesel Laws!

Diesel Laws is a young, talented Designer from Australia.

Diesel spent much of his youth exploring his
creativity through painting, sculpting, drawing, filming and
photography. In the later school years he discovered that his passion
for these creative forms was matched by his natural talent.

He began to dabble in computer programs to
create his art. He also pursued various interests and learnt a lot
about graphics and art while studying in a Film and Television course.

Graduating from that program he decided that
he could use his skills and passion in more ways than just those taught
to him, and he began making logos, banners, and designs for other
people. This simply was not satisfying enough.

He began to create unique 3D Vector Art images
and characters on computer, sometimes using sketches initially to
create their individual personalities. Finding great satisfaction in
this, he began producing these designs at rapid speed and now has an
entertaining collection of characters catering for all those that
appreciate this art form.

Those who know the infamous Diesel Laws are
continually astounded by the number of fresh ideas and seemingly
endless energy he has for his art.

Check out more of his great design (he also does skate decks and some killer digital art) at DieselLaws.com.
