New Design Notice: Be Still My Beating Heart

Be Still My Beating Heart

Be Still My Beating Heart

The next limited edition t-shirt for sale on 200nipples.com is “Be Still My Beating Heart” by Nick Steimling. Nick creates some really edgy and graphic art (this piece looks like a Family Circus panel after flipping through his portfolio) that is bursting with amazing detail and vibrant color. And we’re glad to have him for this next run.

“Hey, what’s your shirt mean?”
“It means that when it comes to art, blurring the line between how we think about things and how they actually are in reality is a good thing.”
“Wow, that’s cool, I’m really jealous.”
“Yeah, you look really jealous.”

This will be on sale tonight at midnight.

(This also means it’s your last chance to score your one-of-a-kind print of “3d Samurai.” As always, when this new one goes on sale, that one comes down.)

If you like this design, let us know in the comments. If you hate it, tell us why. The more feedback we get, the better.

    This is going up tonight?

This is the worst shirt yet!! Wheres the holiday spirit? A heart with blood pouring out down a shirt? Looks like you were shot if you were wearing this. Isn’t there enough daily bloodshed in this world?? GROSS and tasteless, thats all I can say and I am nurse who looks at blood all day. I’ll be surprised at the sales on this one. Maybe for the first few for a few dollars, otherwise this is horrible!!

    Brian,
Doh! I forgot to put the sale time up. (on sale tonight at midnight) I appended the post.

    Janet,
I’m sorry you don’t like it, but since we only sell one design at a time we’ll rarely have something that’s truly for everyone. Submit a design if you’d like!

    MORE BLOOD!!!

  5. Posted by Brian / On December 7, 2008 at 9:14 pm

    Janet,

As someone who has frequent bloody noses, this shirt may prove to save me a lot of money on dry cleaning.

This site looked promising. The past two shirts have proved me somewhat wrong. I’m not into this emo stuff.

Emo? I don’t think this is emo just because it has a bleeding heart. The shirts went really fast though, I only managed to successfully click in on the 12th one, but I don’t really want to pay $12 for a shirt I only semi-want.

i had hope for the site, too. sorry to be a downer, but i just don’t dig the violence.

So there are two designs some people don’t like and the site is hopeless now? Well good for all of us trying to get the next shirts then.

For the record, I don’t like this design either, but any of the shirts released are as subjective as you can get.

I will take you up on the idea of submitting a shirt…I have a few doodles and scribbles that might be more interesting!!…..Good luck with this shirt…YUK

wow- do people still think opinions are factual law- do people still think that if they consider it not to their taste- then its ‘wrong’. You people are scary. If you dont like something as trivial as a tee- just dont buy it- voicing your vacuous opinion does little except make you sound like someone who doesnt get listened to much- maybe because you are boringly always pointing out the things you dont like. If you dont like racisim, sexism etc. then by all means be as pro-vocal as possible- it will help the cause. But you surely must see that your musings here achieve very little, other than telling us that you are negative. I suppose its all part of the internet generation, a chance for all those with f*ck all interesting to say, for all those who are ignored in the real world to finally have a voice, albiet a voice we all wish was silet.

  17. Posted by paul / On December 8, 2008 at 5:03 am

this tee rules- you need a balance of different styles and attitudes. Its what keeps it fresh round here.nice tee yo

  18. Posted by loveforall / On December 8, 2008 at 5:06 am

Janet- your opinion says more about you than it does about the shirt. You see the horror- i see a well draw heart- and its conections to love and hurt- which i think is all quite sweet. but yeah- what that guy said- you go janet you big negative nancy lol.

If this site din’t take any risks and tried to appeal to everyone, it would be worthless. Keep it up.

  20. Posted by Scott / On December 8, 2008 at 4:44 pm

Hey, awesome shirt! Love the design, idea, and what it represents. Great work…I would buy it if I had the $$$, but I don’t, so I’m just going to show my support for this design. It rocks.

    Keep ‘em coming.

i like the design not the color or the blood drips
i also dont like the color of the shirt it is printed on

I think that it is fine for everyone to throw in their two bits. Both good and bad. I may like the shirt I may not but everyone’s opinion is valid. While no every shirt will be for everyone, hearing peoples opinion doesn’t cost anything, so lets all give the site some feedback to try and make it a better site. Because I love the concept and my hope comes from a bottomless well.

  23. Posted by Janet / On December 9, 2008 at 5:07 pm

Wade asked for opinions “good or bad” and I voiced mine as did others. I have been faithful to the site since day one and love the concept and uniqueness. I am sorry for ‘Jim’ who was so angered by others thoughts so much that he would insult peoples intelligence and become so hostile to those who did not care for the design. When the shirts are cool and everyone puts positive feedback then the world apparently is OK with Jim.

  24. Posted by Wade / On December 9, 2008 at 5:59 pm

    A few quick bits:

    1) You go Janet. I want to hear all your opinions, good or bad. How else would I learn. Preaching to the choir gets boring after a while.

    2) Lets try to keep things mature around here. (Nipples is in the site’s title, after all.)

    3) You should keep in mind that personal insults are a poor defense of something you like. It fails that whole logical argument thing and is bad form, besides.

    4) Having said that this is an open forum and about the only thing I’ll delete a comment for is extremely abusive language & trolling / spamming. So say what you will.

    5) I am enjoying all the discourse. This design is getting more comments than when we broke the site a few weeks ago. I am really pleased so far with this community we’re building and it makes all the work worth it.

    Carry on…

    -Wade

My last comment.. (to some that will make them happy!!)…There are other ‘One Of A Kind’ t-shirt websites out there and the art on the shirts is I guess I would say “calmer” “unique and nice to look at”. Check out this site for example endangeredwear.com and you will see they have good and bad too but I still visit the site, make purchases and I will continue to visit this site and make purchases. I happen to be like the others I suppose who don’t want to wear the same shirt everyone bought at the local brick store and again I enjoy the limited edition and uniqueness, so keep the shirts coming, good or bad and everyone have a peacful day. I am not on this earth to rile any feathers, just an angel of mercy trying to heal a few bodies a day.

Hey Jim. Learn how to use hyphens. Your post was a horror to read.

I was just saying. I mean, there’s been a lot of tee sites I’ve liked and they’ve all gone to crap. I don’t really want that to happen to this one.

  27. Posted by Cryoj / On November 19, 2009 at 4:54 pm

I’d love to plenty stay with that too!

I first became aware of 200nipples when I got the slime monster as an xmas present in 2008… I checked out the site the same day to have a look and fell in love with this shirt, then found out I was 3 days too late!!! Grrrr… Didnt like the next few shirts so this site fell off my radar but the last few have been pretty good so I’m all up on 200nips again!

I know reprints dont go down here but I really really really wish they’d reprint this one. Like, I’d pay $50 for one. Honestly brilliant design.

  29. Posted by wmeredith / On July 3, 2010 at 11:17 am

Reprints are coming, we’ll only ever do 100 of any design, but we’ll be selling reprints up tot that 100 point soon.
